INSTRUCTOR: Jerry Anderson

I grew up in Fargo, ND, and began photographing seriously in 1975. I received my education at North Dakota State University and Minnesota State University-Moorhead and acquired additional skills through the Rocky Mountain School of Photography and the University of Minnesota. I have worked as a free-lance photographer, photojournalist, documentary photographer, architectural photographer, artist, and photographic educator. I was a photojournalist and graphics editor for the Bismarck Tribune until 1989 when I joined the University of Mary as the Director of Publications.

While at the University of Mary, I have at various times been responsible for university photography and publication design, printing, advertising, and media purchases. I acted as the art director for publication 360 Review, and worked with the University of Mary Press, doing the book design, and overseeing the printing of over 20 titles. I also taught photography and graphic design for 31 years and I have always treasured the gift of being able to interact with our amazing UMary students.

Class presented in partnership with University of Mary.
